The Visit - John Curtin College of the Arts
Past Event
The John Curtin College of the Arts senior students present their latest Senior Drama Performance, "The Visit".
About “The Visit”
Swiss dramatist Friedrich Dürrenmatt’s visionary revenge play, The Visit, explores patterns of betrayal, abandonment, destruction, forgiveness and love in a darkly comic story of a scorned woman’s ultimate revenge. John Curtin College of the Arts senior drama students put on spectacular performances from April 21-24.
The story opens with the town of Gullen awaiting the arrival of millionaire and previous Gullen inhabitant, Claire Zachanassian. The town is in a state of disrepair, and the residents are suffering considerable hardship and poverty. The task of convincing Claire to make a donation has fallen to Anton Schill who co-incidentally was also once Claire's lover. See first-hand, how everything, including justice, can be bought.
