Material Recovery Facility Tour for National Recycling Week

Ever wondered what happens to your recycling after it's collected from your yellow lidded recycling bin?
Join us for a guided tour of Cleanaway’s Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in Guildford, where you'll see how recyclable materials are sorted and prepared for a new life. Led by an experienced Sustainability Officer, this tour offers a unique opportunity to witness the facility in action and learn more about the recycling process.
The tour includes:
- Site induction and PPE
- Guided tour of the MRF
- Presentation and discussion on how the facility operates
- Tips and best practices for recycling and resource recovery
- Morning tea
Bus transport is provided, departing from the Beach Street South Car Park.
Tickets are free for City of Fremantle or Town of East Fremantle residents only.
Please note that there are 35 stairs and walking involved.
