Plastic Free July Quiz Night^

Flaming Galah, Fremantle.

A seasoned quizmaster puts participants’ (18+) sustainability knowledge to the test. With five exciting rounds of questions and games, it’s a chance to have fun while supporting a great cause.

Spring Buzz Creative Workshop (new)

September 2026, Floral Army, corner Sewell and George streets, East Fremantle

A two-hour creative workshop to celebrate Spring on George Street. Led by local artist, Perdita Phillips, participants will create striking blue cyanotype prints and cards to take home. 

Free event presented by the Town of East Fremantle and supported by Floral Army. Registrations will be essential as places are limited (details to be advertised in late August).

Doggies’ Day Out (new)

Youth Artist Workshop (new)

Celebrate National Recycling Week

  • 10 November: free walking tour of Fremantle Recycling Centre and Containers for Change drop-off point
  • 11 November: National Recycling Week Buster program at Fremantle Arts Centre
  • 12 November: Tour of Cleanaway Material Recovery Facility in Guildford*
  • 14 November: 2026 National Recycling Week Yoga at the East Fremantle Community Park

East Fremantle Street Jam

Celebrate the summer holidays with a free, vibrant youth event at the East Fremantle Community Park. Suitable for six to 17-year-olds, the Street Jam and will be packed with activities and opportunities for young people to learn, connect and play.

Neigbhourhood Village Project community program launch (new)

The Neighbourhood Village Project is a multi-week community program designed to help participants bring their neighbours together to create a more connected, resilient, and caring place to live. Inspired by the idea that strong communities grow from simple acts of connection, each project encourages participants to work with their neighbours to have fun together - sharing skills and interests, supporting each other, and working collaboratively on projects.

As summer begins to wind down, join your friends and neighbours at our flagship celebration for the year. The perfect opportunity to unwind, catch up and enjoy everything we love about East Fremantle. Pack a picnic rug, bring a reusable water bottle and settle in for an afternoon of activities, bites and live music.

The Town has partnered with APACE Nursery to provide native plants at a subsidised cost to East Fremantle residents during the month of May. Residents can purchase native tube stock at 50 per cent off the cost, while stocks last.

Civic events and days of significance

In addition to the community events and activations above, the Town will host several civic events and mark days of significance during the 2026/27 financial year including:

  • Citizenship Ceremonies
  • National Reconciliation Week
  • NAIDOC Week
  • Annual Seniors’ Christmas Lunch*
  • Sustainability workshops
  • Gatherings to acknowledge completion of major projects.
