Our friend Jenny is 30ish, mum to toddler Luka and baby Matis, and wife to Sam.
Jenny is also a primary school teacher, competes in triathlons and is an environmentally-minded consumer, raising hens for fresh organic eggs, composting, using clothes nappies etc. Beyond that, Jenny is an amazingly caring, positive, nurturing person — a ray of light to many!
A few months ago, while she was 6 months pregnant with Matis, Jenny was diagnosed with an aggressive Stage 3 Breast Cancer. The prognosis was poor, but Jenny fought will all her might. She had her breast removed and went through chemo, managing to give birth in between two rounds, and all of that when the pandemic was at his highest in WA! Talk about a fighter!
Fast forward to now: Jenny is in remission and baby Matis is as happy and healthy as can be.
Presenting "Gems for Jen: a Fundraising Event" on Sunday 18th October 2020, in partnership with Breast Cancer Care WA.
When we initially created this event, it was with the goal of raising funds to help Jenny in her battle. But, to Jenny's request, we have now decided that all profits raised will be going towards Breast Cancer Care WA.

'Creative Warriors' tickets provide access to informal gathering around food and drinks with one complimentary glass of champagne included and attendance at one 45 minute model drawing classes.

'Grazers and Gatherers' tickets for those not keen on the model drawing classes but prefer grazing on table delicacies and partaking of champagne.
People not attending the event can purchase raffle tickets and make donations.
