Unwind, socialise with friends and neighbours and enjoy the best of East Fremantle as summer draws to a close at this FREE community event. 

Hosted by Belgravia Leisure and the Town of East Fremantle, on Saturday 21 February, East Freo Bites and Beats is a relaxed, family-friendly event for all ages.

With live music, delicious food trucks and kids’ activities, East Freo Bites and Beats will celebrate a spirit of connection, culture, and musical talent in a beautiful outdoor setting.

Bites

Bring your reusable water bottle and a picnic rug and select from the delicious food truck options or dine in at Carnaby's Bar and Restaurant.

Look for the food trucks near the playground including:

  • Zab Salada - Indian
  • Rainbow Happiness - ice-cream
  • Dal Pizzaiolo - woodfired pizza
  • Potato Corner - flavoured fries and bites
  • The Donut Bar - mini hot donuts and slushie drinks
  • Just Dumplings

2024 Australian Idol winner Dylan Wright (Trio)

Singer-songwriter and guitarist Dylan Wright claimed the coveted title of Australian Idol 2024, after consistently enchanting audiences with his soulful renditions of classic hits.

His victory not only marked the start of a promising musical journey but also led to a milestone moment as he inked a record deal with Sony Music, catapulting his career to new heights. Hailing from the serene landscapes of the Northern Rivers, Dylan shares genuine emotion through his captivating voice and mesmerising melodies.

Dylan’s soulful storytelling and laid-back demeanour earnt him a legion of devoted fans nationwide and he now looks forward to sharing more of his original music which he describes as soulful country soft pop.

Coby Grant 

Coby Grant is an accomplished independent singer-songwriter based in Perth, Western Australia, recognised for her emotive performances and compelling songwriting. With many years of international touring experience, she has developed a strong and loyal following, particularly throughout Europe, and now brings her global experience to Australian audiences.


Prior to the pandemic, Coby spent several highly successful years based in Europe. During this time, she gained international attention following the release of her song Winter Bear, which went viral within days of being shared online and has since accumulated more than four million views. The song, written in tribute to a family who experienced the loss of their stillborn son, resonated deeply with audiences worldwide.

Coby also competed on The Voice of Germany, where four million viewers watched her Blind Audition and all four judges turned their chairs. She progressed through the competition to the semi-finals, leading to two highly successful headline tours across Germany.

Coby has performed at major festivals around the world and has supported internationally recognised artists such as Josh Groban, demonstrating her ability to connect with diverse audiences. Her distinctive voice, emotional depth and authentic stage presence have drawn comparisons to artists including Joni Mitchell and Alanis Morissette.

James Wilson

James Wilson is a professional musician with over 20 years’ experience in the Australian music industry. He has toured extensively throughout Australia and South East Asia and over this time he has shared the stage with many of this countries iconic Rock performers such as James Reyne (Australian Crawl), Ross Wilson (Daddy Cool/Mondo Rock), Ian Moss (Cold Chisel), Jon Stevens (Noiseworks) Joe Camilerri (Black Sorrows), Jessica Mauboy (Australian Idol) and Karise Eden (The Voice).

His extraordinary stage set up combines musical excellence with astounding co-ordination as he manages to play a range of percussion and wind instruments, guitar and soaring vocals, all at the same time. There is one person on stage producing the sound of three. It truly needs to be seen to be believed.

Matt Burke

Matt Burke is a versatile acoustic singer known for his exceptional ability to captivate audiences across a wide spectrum. With an extensive repertoire spanning various eras. 

In his remarkable musical journey, Matt’s creative outlet ‘Foreign Architects’ has achieved commercial success and secured airplay on platforms like Triple J. He’s also had the privilege of opening for renowned bands like Polish Club and ARIA award-winning group Eskimo Joe.

His extensive experience includes thrilling performances on significant stages in Australia and internationally, such as Perth Glory A-League entertainment at NIB stadium and Fremantle Dockers AFL matches at Optus Stadium.

Macca Dacca

Macca Dacca is a local AC/DC tribute band.
