The Town is undertaking maintenance works in the Camp Waller area to greatly improve the aesthetics and accessibility for all users. Heavy machinery and equipment will be moving in the area, therefore, to keep nearby users safe and clear of the worksite there will be reduced access including signage and fencing. Removing signage or fencing will delay the work and put yourself and other users in danger.
The shape shown in red below including the beach portion next to Camp Waller has no public access. Access from the steps on Jerrat Drive to the beach area is also prohibited. For the construction period these areas are to be accessed only by the Town’s contractor. The alternative route for pedestrians is to use the footpath as shown blue dashed for the duration of the works.
The works are anticipated to be completed by mid-next week.
