Did you know that the 2025 Community Survey identified six key priorities for Council to focus on over the next 10 years, including community safety and crime prevention?

As part of Outcome Four: Community Safety and Resilience in the Town’s Council Plan 2026 - 2036, the Town has partnered with WA Police to encourage local residents and businesses to register CCTV details on the Cam-Map WA portal.

If you are a local business or residence with CCTV that monitors public spaces such as footpaths, car parks, shop fronts or parks, you can register them on the Cam-Map WA portal to help prevent crime and support community safety.

Cam-Map WA is a secure database operated by the WA Police. In the event of an incident, the WA Police are able to search the database and identify cameras in the area that may have captured the incident.

What information is registered?

  • CCTV location
  • Camera coverage details
  • Contact information for the owner or operator
  • System specifications, where provided

The footage is not uploaded to Cam-Map WA, only the location of the camera is registered.

To find out more or to register, visit the Cam-Map WA website, or email cam-map.wa@police.wa.gov.au
