Kevin Fox dropped in to East Fremantle Bowls Club near Allen Street to play bowls 10 years ago and never left.
"It's a great social feeling here," he said.
The Club is looking for new members, male and female, of any ages.
As part of the East Fremantle Community Park, the two grass bowling greens have been replaced with two artificial surfaces.
"The more acceptable playing surface will give us a chance to recruit new players and become a stronger club," he said.
