The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage (DPLH) has invited comment on the application to amend the Significant Development for a Residential Aged Care Facility, Medical Centre, Café and Supported Independent Living Accommodation.

The Department’s Significant Development Assessment Unit (SDAU) has received an application to amend the proposal for 18 and 26 Dalgety Street and 29 Fortescue Street.

Town of East Fremantle CEO Jonathan Throssell said the development application would not be assessed or determined by Council.

"All submissions should be made to the Department," he said.

"Following the completion of an assessment report by DPLH, the development application will be determined by the Western Australian Planning Commission."

The advertising period is now open and closes on 8 September 2026.
