Want to help shape reconciliation or public art in the Town? (Closed)


The Town is seeking expressions of interest from community members who are willing to volunteer to be part of two committees: Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group (RAP) or Public Art Panel (PAP). Both committees meet quarterly.

RAP group

The objective of the RAP Group is to oversee the implementation the Town’s Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan and the development our next RAP. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.

No formal qualifications are required, however a strong interest in reconciliation and the reconciliation process is a must.

Public Art Panel

The purpose of the Public Art Panel is to make recommendations and guide Council on the Town’s Public Art Strategy, including public art projects, and removal and installation of artworks in the Town.

Preference will be given to residents of the Town who have a detailed knowledge of the composition of the Town. Non-residents may be appointed if suitable candidates cannot be established from the Town’s residents or if determined by the Council.

  • your full name and contact details;
  • up to 400 words about yourself and why you would like to join either the RAP Group or the Public Art Panel;
  • any relevant interests, skills or experience (formal or informal).

For the PAP, please also detail any arts credentials including in the field/s of art, architecture, urban design and/or culture.
