At its Ordinary Council Meeting held on 17 February 2026, the Council of the Town of East Fremantle resolved, by absolute majority, to give public notice of its intention to specify the dog park located at East Fremantle Community Park as a dog exercise area, subject to time-based restrictions.
In accordance with section 31(3A) of the Dog Act 1976, the dog park located at East Fremantle Community Park will be a dog exercise area at all times, except on WAFL Match Days.
On WAFL Match Days, pursuant to section 31(2B) of the Dog Act 1976, the park will not constitute a dog exercise area and all dogs must be on a leash and under effective control.

This public notice is given in accordance with section 31(3C) of the Dog Act 1976 and section 1.7 of the Local Government Act 1995.
