Help shape our plan for our future

Published on Monday, 19 January 2026 at 9:17:49 AM

Town of East Fremantle residents, businesses and community groups are invited to join one of two Council Plan Community Workshops on Monday 16 February.

Each workshop will provide community members an opportunity to:

  • Learn more about the 2025 MARKYT Community Scorecard findings
  • Review community suggestions
  • Help prioritise actions the Town can take to meet local needs over the next 10 years.

Suggested actions will be incorporated into the Town’s inaugural Draft 2026-2036 Council Plan, previously known as its Strategic Community Plan.

Also encompassing the Corporate Business Plan, the endorsed Council Plan will become a strategic roadmap outlining the community’s aspirations and priorities for the future.

Mayor Tony Natale encouraged all community members to consider participating in the workshops.

“In September, over 600 residents and 32 business owners completed the Community Scorecard, ranking East Fremantle as the best place to live, and the best place to own or operate a business,” he said.

“The scorecard findings also identified six areas for Council to focus on improving over the next decade.”

Mayor Natale said the next steps included seeking feedback about the proposed priorities and actions at the community workshops.

“Your voice is important,” he said. “Everyone is welcome to register for a workshop and we would particularly love to see representatives from local businesses and community groups, and lots of young people.”

The workshops will be facilitated by CATALYSE on behalf of the Town. The same content will be covered in each workshop, with participants asked to register for either the morning session or the evening session.

Light refreshments will be provided and RSVPs are essential before 9am on Monday 9 February.
