Last night the Town hosted one of its favourite events of the year, the Citizenship Ceremony, where Mayor, Jim O'Neill had the privilege of welcoming 8 new Australian Citizens to our community.
Officiated by our Mayor, Jim O’Neill, the ceremony was attended by Josh Wilson MP, Lisa O'Malley MLA, Freeman Dr David Nelson (OAM) and Suzi Nelson and a number of Elected Members and Staff.
We
would like to extend our gratitude to Andrea Onamade for delivering her inspirational words of encouragement and for leading our national anthem.
Congratulations to each of our new Australian Citizens and in Andrea's words, "welcome to the family".
