Update - Draft Recreation and Community Facilities Plan available for public comment - click here for more information.

In November 2015, the Town of East Fremantle appointed SGL Consulting in conjunction with Creating Communities, to undertake the recreation and community facilities plan.

The Plan aims to provide to provide a strategic framework for addressing the current and future recreation and community facilities’ needs in the Town. The project will guide future investment and management of recreation and community assets and once complete, Council will consider a range of recommendations and affordable, achievable and realistic options that are a balance between community needs, expectations, capital funding availability and sustainability requirements.

The key to the plan will be the involvement and contribution not only from Council, but from a range of stakeholders.

Over the past months Phillip Gray and his team from SGL Consulting along with Alan Tranter and his team at Creating Communities, have been working to engage with the Council,  the community, stakeholders, clubs and associations to identify key issues relating to the provision of services within the Town.

A online survey and telephone questionnaire have been completed with over 560 people participating.

A further engagement and consultation strategy will get underway in the next few weeks. Information about this will be provided on the website and through our Facebook page.
