Town of East Fremantle Heritage Trail Revitalisation Launch

The original Heritage Trail – mapped in 1988 as part of the WA Heritage Trail Network, an initiative of the Australian Commonwealth / State Bicentennial Commemorative Program – has been revitalised with some exciting new 21st century tools ~ a digital map, interactive website & tale sharing walking tour.  The Trail is a delightful three kilometre, two-hour, stroll featuring nineteen points of interest (as per the original trail, we hope to expand on this in the future).

  • Trail MapMojo Design Studio were appointed to create a watercolour depiction of some the Town’s outstanding architectural features.  The map will be available in both printed and digital formats.  Smartphone scan-able QR codes link to the website for more detail & to Google maps for directions. 
  • Interactive Website“Streets of East Freo” shares information about the many heritage buildings throughout the Town.  It also offers you the exciting opportunity to add your own anecdotes, experiences & images to the Town’s colourful narrative.  Thanks to the Museum of Perth for preparing this digital masterpiece, showcasing the Town’s strong heritage foundation.
  • Walking TourTwo Feet & a Heartbeat were commissioned to weave together a collection of entertaining local tales into an informative self-guided  tour.
