Further to the adoption of the Vision Report for the East Fremantle Oval Precinct, the Town of East Fremantle has commenced the first stage for developing a detailed Business Plan to revitalize the oval precinct.

We have recently advertised to engage suitably qualified consultants to undertake an Investment Logic Mapping (ILM) process, which will aim to identify:

  • the service need (current & future).
  • the benefits sought from a response to the service need
  • the potential initiatives identified to address the service need and achieve some or all of the benefits sought.

The Investment Logic Map (ILM) exercise will assist in testing the rationale (problem definition) for proceeding with the investment proposal whilst in an early stage of project development. This technique will ensure that robust discussion and thinking is done up-front, resulting in a sound problem definition, before solutions are identified and before any investment decision is made.

The process will be based on Council’s preferred concept plan as detailed (pages 26-29) in the East Fremantle Oval Precinct Revitalisation Plan Vision Report (Modified Community Concept Plan).

The Town of East Fremantle is seeking expressions of interest to fill two (2) community positions on the short term reference group – Community and Users Reference Group (CURG) who will participate in the ILM workshop.

Find details about the CURG and the terms of reference here.  Also included is a nomination form for you to complete and return to the Town.

Submissions close on Wednesday 18 September 2019 at 4.00pm.  Applicants will be notified within five (5) working days as to whether or not their nomination has been accepted.

The CURG will be overseen by the Town of East Fremantle and membership will include a representative from the East Fremantle Football Club; East Fremantle Croquet Club; East Fremantle Bowling Club and the East Freo Playgroup.
