What is a Public Event?
“A gathering of people brought together by a common purpose by some pre-arrangement – and which is open / advertised to the public”.
Why tell the Town?
In the first instance, the Health (Public Buildings) Regulations require Local Governments to approve public events. There are other regulations that can come into play dependent on the event.
When should you contact us?
Ideally you should let the Town know that you are planning your event at least 6 weeks prior – 12 weeks or more for larger events.
How can you submit your notification?
Preferably by phone to the Town’s Economic & Community Development Officer via 9339 9342 or events@eastfremantle.wa.gov.au
