Access and Inclusion

The Town of East Fremantle is committed to providing services and spaces that are accessible for all and inclusive of everyone in our community.

The Disability Access & Inclusion Plan (2020 - 2025) assists the Town to make its services and facilities equitable and accessible for people with disability. Under the Disability Services Act 1993, every local and state government agency must develop a Disability Access and Inclusion Plan.

In August 2020, Council sought public submissions on its draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2020-2025, then developed Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2020-2025

The role of the Disability Access and Inclusion Plan

A Disability Access and Inclusion Plan helps public authorities plan and implement improvements to access and inclusion across various outcome areas. These include services and events, buildings and facilities, information, quality of service, complaints, consultation processes and employment.

These plans benefit people with disability, but also the community as a whole, including the elderly, parents with prams and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

The Town of East Fremantle's Disability Access and Inclusion Plan ensures that all community members have equitable access to services and facilities.

The Disability Access & Inclusion Plan is available in hard copy and via email, and in alternative formats on request.  Please contact the Town to request a copy of the DAIP in your preferred format by calling 9339 9339 or email admin@eastfremantle.wa.gov.au
